Hackathon Workshopping: Map the Realized vs. Unrealized Value Gap

Value selling at Cisco ThousandEyes started with a simple question: “Which of these deals are you willing to lose?”

That narrative shifted the focus from activity to impact and set the foundation for how value would scale across the organization.

In this session, Lucas Corkum, Global Value Acceleration Lead at Cisco Thousandeyes, will share how that early shift turned into a repeatable system across sales, customer success, and partners. You’ll hear how they won deals through collaborative value design, used partner feedback to simplify and redesign their approach, and why they intentionally delayed rolling out AI until the right behaviors were in place.

This is a practical look at what it actually takes to scale value, and why getting the fundamentals right matters more than moving fast.
